دیشب برندگان بفتا 2013 نیز اعلام شد 

و بر این اساس آرگو به مانند اکثر جوایز دیگر توانست بهترین فیلم سال شناخته شود و بهترین کارگردانی نیز به بن افلاک کارگردان این فیلم رسید 

بهترین بازیگر مرد سال نیز به دنیل دی لوئیس رسید

آکادمی فیلم و تلویزیون بریتانیا امروز (چهارشنبه) فهرست نامزدهای سال 2013 جوایز بافتا را اعلام کرد که فیلم «لینکلن» ساخته استیون اسپیلبرگ با نامزدی در 10 بخش پیشتاز جوایز است و فیلم‌های «بینوایان» و «زندگی پی» نیز هریک در 9 بخش چشم به دریافت جایزه دوخته‌اند. فیلم «سقوط آسمانی»، آخرین قسمت از سری آثار جیمزباند درحالی در هشت بخش نامزد دریافت جایزه شده که 22 قسمت قبلی این فیلم در تاریخ جوایز بافتا تنها موفق به دریافت دو جایزه شده است.

منتقدین فیلم لندن هم نامزدهای اصلی خود را اعلام کردند و در بین این فیلم ها اثری از مهمترین فیلم های سال در قسمت بهترین فیلم نیست و در این بین نه خبری از فیلم لینکن ، فیلم تارانتینو ، فیلم بینوایان و .... نیست و فیلم های جالبی نامزد بهترین فیلم شده اند
